PAFN Annual General Meeting, -Wednesday April 10, 6:30 p.m. Algonquin College, Pembroke. Guest Speaker: Jeremy Inglis, PAFN Director and MNRF Biologist.

“A Year in the life of a Black Bear in Ontario and why they sometimes come into conflict with humans.”

Summary: We’ll explore a year in the life of a black bear; when it hibernates, when it is seasonally active, where it travels, its breeding cycles and cubs, its occasional trouble with humans and, perhaps most importantly, the feast or famine cycle that drives almost everything bears do. 

PAFN Waterfowl Drive – Saturday, April 27, 8 a.m., Pembroke Marina

Sandhill Crane – R. Cunningham

We will be looking for waterfowl and other birds, starting at the Pembroke Marina and ending up in Westmeath around noon. Car pooling is encouraged.
